Did you enjoy making music earlier in life but things happened and you had to stop playing? Or have you always wanted to play with a band? The Iowa City New Horizons Band (ICNHB) provides opportunities for chronologically gifted adults to refresh old skills, learn new skills, or even learn to play a new instrument in the company of others. We practice on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9-10:30 am at the Senior Center and often have a social hour afterwards. We finish each season with a concert. There are no auditions to join the band. We follow the New Horizons philosophy of “Your best is good enough,” while offering the challenging enjoyment of making music with others.
