Meet & Greet With Iowa City Human Rights Commissioner

The Iowa City Human Rights Commission is hosting a meet and greet with Commissioners Liz Mendez Shannon and Viana Qadoura.
This is an opportunity to meet and socialize with Iowa City Human Rights Commission members. The event will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Iowa City Public Library Meeting Room B, 123 S. Linn Street.

The Iowa City Human Rights Commission consists of nine members, each serving a three-year term. The Commission City Council takes appointments into consideration on various racial, religious, economic, cultural, sex, age, physical disability, and social groups in the city.
The Iowa City Human Rights Commission protects human rights and promotes diversity and equity for all through advocacy, education, and outreach. 

The Human Rights Commission meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall in Emma Harvat Hall, 410 E. Washington St.
