LGBTQIA+ Resources and Protections

  • Introduction: Join leaders from various statewide Human & Civil Rights Commissions and Iowa Safe Schools for an essential webinar on legal protections and resources available to the LGBTQIA+ community at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024.

About the program

The webinar will cover topics such as discrimination, healthcare access, supporting students, and other critical information. There will also be a Q&A portion to answer questions from participants.

About the presenter

Iowa Safe Schools provides comprehensive support and resources to youth, educators, administrators, helping professionals, and the families and community members of LGBTQA+ youth.

This event is coordinated by the West Des Moines Human Rights Commission, Polk County, Cedar Falls Human Rights Commission, Cedar Rapids Civil Rights Commission, Des Moines Civil and Human Rights Commission, City of Iowa City’s Office of Equity and Human Rights, and City of Dubuque’s Department of Equity and Human Rights.
