The pedestrian tunnel under Iowa Avenue near its intersection with Riverside Drive has been closed.

The closure was made so repairs to the tunnel can be made. It is expected to be a long-term closure, and pedestrians should find an alternative route. The tunnel's reopening will be announced when work is completed. The City advises pedestrians to walk east down the Iowa Avenue Bridge and cross the street at the crosswalk adjacent to the University of Iowa's English-Philosophy Building.
