The City provides long term disability coverage to eligible employees at no cost to the employee.
- Eligible employees are permanent employees assigned to a position budgeted at .75FTE or greater, except employees covered under the Municipal Fire and Police Retirement System of Iowa.
- Plan provides 60% of salary (up to a maximum of $3,000/month for AFSCME employees)
- Benefit becomes payable upon the greater of the exhaustion of sick leave or 120 calendar days for qualifying employee health condition.
