The Metropolitan Planning Organization of Johnson County (MPOJC) is designated by the Governor of the State of Iowa as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Iowa City Urbanized Area.  Assistance is provided to MPOJC member agencies in transportation planning, land use planning, and grant application preparation and administration. Besides these program areas, MPOJC is also a forum for discussion of any county-wide planning issue.
